Ultrafilration Systems( UF) are similar systems like Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Nanofiltration (NF).

Ultrafiltration improves the Physical quality of the water without changing any chemical properties of the Water.

Suspended solids and Turbity are removed from the water at higher efficienciens, also color is removed at specific percentage. One of the most important specification of the Ultrafiltration systems are they can remove all bacteria and viruses from the water.

Thus these systems are mostly prefered at spring water treatment and potable water treatment industry (Container type treatments systems).

What is Ultrafiltration (UF)?

Ultrafiltration (UF) is a type of membrane filtration in which hydrostatic pressure forces a liquid against a semipermeable membrane. Suspended solids and solutes of high molecular weight are retained, while water and low molecular weight solutes pass through the membrane. A semipermeable membrane is a thin layer of material capable of separating substances when a driving force is applied across the membrane.
